Siabite Ceramic Belt
These bad mama-jammas are mean, green grinding machines- well they're not grinding machines (we sell those too) but they are green, and they do great on stock removal. Ceramic belts are the best choice for stock removal on steel.
Ceramic likes to be run fast with high pressure so you constantly break down the grain and expose sharp edges. Starting at 36 or 60 grit for your rough grinds and progressing up the grit range to 120 grit before moving onto a Trizact A100 finishing belt.
These SIA 2515 belts have a sharp ceramic blend grain and feature a cooling additive for cool, long lasting cutting, excellent for any heavy grinding task. These are the very same belts that Alec used back in the UK for grinding knives, swords, axes, hammers, and anything else he made out of metal.
These belts shine when cutting high alloy-steels, and other hard-to-grind materials. These are a premium belt, so naturally they come at a higher price than some of the other belts we carry, but you'll be grinding for longer and keeping material cooler.

Always wear eye protection when using abrasives and never grind without respiratory protection. The dust produced is extremely dangerous to inhale. Abrasive belts pose a risk of entrapment in machines so care should be taken to never touch a body part to a belt with power to the machine to save loosing a finger or cutting one off.
