These aluminum oxide belts are ideal for wood and composite materials, they come at a much lower price point than ceramic belts, and hold up admirably on softer materials. These belts last for a very long time so long as they don't touch steel, steels will break down the grain and cause them to burn handle materials.

We recommend the 60 and 120 grit belts with the stiffer belts for rough handle shaping and stock removal, and then like to move to the 220 and 400 grit J-flex for slack belt contouring, and then finally 600 grit before moving onto hand sanding. The flexible backing on j-flex and j-weight belts allow them to contour to the handle and make it much easier to create smooth contours when crafting beautiful handles.
