Excellent quality of materials to make Damascus of any pattern. If you are a beginner, do not hesitate to buy the 1080 and the 15n20; they are easy to clean, welding, and start playing.

What can I say. Hand forged Damascus is tough. This is the second time I purchase this steel from Alec Steele co and this is the first knife I have made. Super fun time. All I can say is now I’m even more jealous if Alec and his power hammer!

I’m gonna be totally honest here. I am very very knew to this whole blacksmithing/ bladesmithing and while Damascus I probably well outside of my comfort zone and knowledge level I just had to try it. I’ve learned a lot and if it doesn’t come out it will be no ones fault but my own. The product is awesome. Arrived on time. Clean. Well packaged and ready for me to jump right in! Hi, I was surprised on how fast it was delivered not only that but the gorgeous Damascus pattern. I'm just starting out so I'm not going to use the steel just yet however, I will use it when I start to forge my first knife.
