This easy to install base raises up the grinder 5" above where it would sit on the bench, and allows you to pivot the grinder 90 degrees for easier, more controllable profile grinding. 

It creates a much easier way to contour handles and to get your contact wheels into those pesky tight corners on handles and blades. You're able to see exactly what you're doing, rather than craning your neck to see if you're actually grinding in the right spot.
