Strap On Surface Grinder

Using your tooling armholes, the attachment affixes to the machine and includes a 5" contact wheel. Your belt runs around the wheel and below is the magnetic chuck, sliding back and forth on roller bearings. The depth of cut is adjusted by turning the adjustment knob at the bottom. 

Not only can you use the attachment for flattening, but the magnetic chuck pivots to allow you to create precise tapered grinds. Tapered tangs on knives are a phenomenal value add to a client and you can efficiently and accurately produce them with the Strap on Surface Grinder.

At the current time, we only assure compatibility with our own selection of 2x48 and 2x72 machines. Select the tooling arm size you need and it will come included. You may well find the attachment works with other machines as-is or with the addition of some spacers. Sadly we won't be able to guarantee this compatibility.
